Kira Kadel - Bio

Kira is 14 years old and in the 8th grade gifted program at Glendale American School. She is currently in rehearsals as Rapunzal for World
of the Brother's Grimm at Creative Stages Youth Theatre. She was recently seen as a soloist in Oliver Twist the Musical and in the leading
role of Josephine in I Was a Teenage Fairytale Character. Kira was also a featured soloist in the Fundraiser Gala at Theater Works.
Other recent roles include: a Munchkin City Father in Wizard of Oz, Naomi in Theater Works’ Peter Pan, Dorothy in Back to Kansas,
Children’s Chorus member in Valley Youth Theatre’s Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at the Herberger Theater Center,
and ensemble member and soloist in GCC’s Music Theatre Workshop where she was able to show off her acting, singing and dancing
chops in On the Wicked Stage. Kira is in the Theater Works' Youth Choir and the select choir at her school. She has played numerous
roles in their musical productions, including Dorothy in Wizard of Oz, as well as singing regular solos. She had the wonderful experience
last year to be selected for the district Choral Festival performance. Kira’s first performance was at 10 days old when she was the baby
Jesus in Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran’s Living Nativity. She has performed in that production every year of her life in alternating roles of
angel and shepherd. Kira has sung frequent solos with the Youth choir at SOV and was selected to solo or have leading roles at the last 5
annual Christmas musical productions. Kira recently attended a Make-Up Masterclass by Zoni nominated Make-up artist Terre Steed and
has taken many years of tap and ballet with On-Stage Dance Academy as well as numerous years of pom and cheer with Young
Champions. Kira plays the clarinet and has taken guitar lessons, and she currently takes professional vocal lessons from Ken
Goodenberger. She has performed for hundreds of people in recital for each.
